The series’ first concert will feature JUNO Award-winning artists The Angelique Francis Band led by vocalist/bassist Angelique Francis. Joining Francis for the performance will be saxophonist Kharincia Francis, trombonist Kira Francis, drummer Kiran Francis, and guitarist Dave Williamson.
These versatile and exceptionally gifted musicians have wowed audiences across the globe with their electrifying performances, instrumental abilities and powerful textured vocals. Known for their eclectic mix of musical genres (including Blues, Folk, Soul, Jazz, Roots, Rock, Gospel and Americana), they have played and shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Buddy Guy, Gary Clark, Jr., Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, Keb’ Mo’, Tom Cochran, Burton Cummings, and many more. The passion and love of music shared by this family of musicians is felt in every performance!

The second concert of the series will feature Quentin Baxter’s African Marketplace-Celebrating Abdullah Ibrahim. The Quentin Baxter Quintet will celebrate the influence of renowned South African pianist, Abdullah Ibrahim, through new arrangements and compositions that honor his legacy. Baxter is joined by trumpeter Matt White, tenor saxophonist Mark Sterbank, pianist Demetrius Doctor, and bassist Rodney Jordan.
